leaders den & overlook branch
The largest of all trees atop the plateau sits close to the edge, it's large roots coming out the side of the plateau, it where the leader makes their den. While it may be old, the tree itself is sturdy, able to withstand strong winds and even stronger storms. Under its wide, strong roots, the leader sleeps. A small opening leads under the tree, coveted by a curtain of ivy and vines. Inside, many roots surround the small open space, poking out of the ground and the walls, with lichen growing all around the den. On the far side of the den, under a thick root, is where the leaders nest typically sits, made of moss and bird feathers for comfort. Outside the den, a low hanging branch looks over the camp. Over time, the branch has become heavy, and the end not bends to the ground, touching it's green leaves with the soft grass of the ground. Here is where the leader leaps and sits, speaking to the clan as they gather below.

Board Information & Statistics

lowrise plateau
A wall of rock several foxlengths high on all possible sides is imposing to those unable to jump. While young apprentices who have yet to build strong muscles may have to climb the steep rock ledge in order to make it to the top, and many elders need help to reach the ledge, for seasoned warriors and older apprentices, it is nothing compared to the high set branches around their territory. For intruding clans the ledge may be a challenge to reach, giving the clan plenty of time to sense their intruders before they reach the camp. The camp is rather open, with several trees and bushes around the edge of the plateau, but with tall enough trees surrounding them to provide cover from the elements. Kits are always warned to steer clear of the rocky ledge, even apprentices best stay away or loose rocks may slip from under their paws.
